Recap: #CannabisCon Edmonton

Recap: #CannabisCon Edmonton

We had a great time last weekend at Cannabis Canada Forums – Business Opportunity Day and #CannabisCon in Edmonton. The conference featured engaging discussions on a wide range of relevant topics and included government officials, industry leaders, and academics.

Canadian Cannabis Chamber president, Lindsay Blackett, moderated several panel discussions over the weekend. Topics of the panels included “Economic Development and Business Opportunities,” “Entering the Cannabis Industry,” and “Cannabis in the Workplace – Employee Perspective.”

We were especially thrilled to meet with so many attendees ranging from entrepreneurs to industry service providers to enthusiastic job seekers. The excitement for the forthcoming legalization of cannabis is palpable and is fuelling great new ideas and innovation. We strongly believe that legalization will bring fantastic opportunities to Alberta and the rest of Canada, and this was apparent from the discussions that took place at #CannabisCon.

Thanks to Cannabis Canada Forums for putting on a great event, and thanks to everyone who came out to participate!

We believe that access for patients and legal-age adults to safe and high-quality Cannabis and Cannabis products is an essential right in a free market economy. We believe that Cannabis and Cannabis products must be affordable and supported by meaningful education and awareness in order to increase the likelihood that the Black and Grey Markets will successfully be eliminated.

We believe in the necessity of creating awareness for all generations of the many medicinal and wellness-centric benefits of Cannabis as an effective lifestyle product. We believe in the power of innovative technologies and processes that increase the access of legal-aged consumers, while simultaneously reducing the cost for regulated Cannabis. We believe in ensuring a fair market environment for the innovation of new cannabis products, thereby increasing access for the benefit of all Canadians.
